Overlake Medical Center is currently seeking a caring, compassionate, EP RN or Technologist to assist the Electrophysiologist in complex Electrophysiology (EP) procedures. Provides clinical and technology support to the physician in geometric mapping and treatment of various arrhythmias, as well as patient care; scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring during electrophysiology procedures. As needed, may assist cardiologists and radiologists in the various diagnostic and interventional procedures performed in the Cardiac Cath Laboratory and Vascular Interventional Radiology.
This position is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period - pay biweekly)
Full time 10-hour shifts - DAY SHIFT

Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of an Associate’s degree or certificate through an accredited Radiology Program or Cardiovascular Technology program required. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- CPR and ACLS certification required.
- ARRT(R) Registry and State Certification as Radiologic Technologist (RT) required; or, for CVTs, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) is required. (EP Tech I can obtain RCIS or RCES within 6 months of hire.) For experience in lieu of degree, candidate must provide an employment verification letter documenting job title, dates of employment, and volume/type of Electrophysiology experience prior to start date. In addition, obtaining Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) is required within 6 months of hire.
- EP Tech I- Minimum of one year experience in a n electrophysiology laboratory, cardiac catheterization laboratory, or cardiac surgery required.
- EP Tech II - Minimum of three years’ experience in an electrophysiology laboratory required.
- Certified Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS) through the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) required. (EP Tech II)
- 24 CME credits required bi-annually.
- Familiar with Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy and intracardiac ultrasound procedures required.
- Knowledge of air embolus, cardiac perforation, and cardiac tamponade required.
- Knowledge of cardiac pacing including intervals, programming and testing required.
- Understand properties and use of the multiple catheter types specific to different arrhythmias and their treatment required.
- Understanding of pathophysiology and propagation of complex intracardiac arrhythmias as well as treatment and complications of treatment required. (EP Tech II)
- Knowledge and operation of three dimensional electrophysiology mapping systems required. (EP Tech II)
