Pay range:
$24.93 - $59.33Overlake's Inpatient Behavioral Health unit is seeking a Mental Health Specialist/Social Worker to join the psychiatric treatment team in our newly constructed 14-bed voluntary adult inpatient behavioral health unit.
If selected, you will provide individualized direct care as part of our Interdisciplinary Program. Working under the direction of the Charge Nurse, your focus will be on helping our patients meet their treatment goals.
.8 FTE (64 hours per bi-weekly pay period)
Evenings
8 Hour Shift
Must be able to work every other weekend
Qualifications for Mental Health Specialist:
- Active WA state NA-R or NA-C prior to start date.
- Healthcare provider CPR Certification required.
- Bachelor’s degree required. Equivalent related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor (CG) or Substance Use Disorder Professional Certification (CP) within 6-months of hire required.
- Inpatient acute psychiatric experience preferred.
Qualifications for Social Worker I:
- Active WA state NA-R prior to start date.
- Healthcare provider CPR Certification required.
- Master's degree in Social Work preferred, or related field from an accredited university required.
- Candidate must possess one of the following licenses from the state of Washington: Social Work Associate Independent Clinical (SC), Social Work Associate Advanced (SA), Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (MG), Mental Health Counselor Associate (MC), or Agency Affiliated Counselor (CG).
- Inpatient acute psychiatric experience preferred.
- Requires assessment and care planning skills, broad knowledge of the community resources, medical terminology, hospital systems, insurance guidelines, financial issues, and risk management issues. Effective verbal and written communication skills and computer skills. An understanding of the issues that are involved in the documentation and continual quality improvement process of patient care in the hospital setting preferred.
Qualifications for Social Worker II:
- Active WA state NA-R prior to start date.
- Healthcare provider CPR Certification required.
- Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or related field from an accredited university required.
- Candidate must possess one of the following licenses from the state of Washington: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LW), Licensed Advanced Social Worker (LW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LH), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LF).
- Minimum two years of experience is required. Inpatient acute psychiatric experience preferred.
