Pay range:

$27.45 - $41.18

Responsible for training staff at all registration sites on the EMR system, insurance coding, hospital policies, department policies, customer service, compliance and regulatory guidelines.  The Training Coordinator is responsible for knowing each job task throughout the department.  Maintains and updates the Patient Access Services (PAS) training manual and program, as well as oversees computer updates and EMR enhancements for the PAS department.  The trainer collaborates with the Information Services department as the PAS Super User and works with the Business Office to stay current on regulatory changes which affect the PAS staff. 

Full Time/Day Shift

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.  Equivalent related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.  Formal training in medical terminology, hospital finance and customer relations preferred.
  • Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM) or Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) preferred.
  • Minimum of two years previous admitting/registration experience required.  One year experience in developing, coordinating, conducting, and evaluating training programs preferred.
