Pay range:
$46.89 - $83.37Overlake Medical Center has opportunities for nurses looking to transition into acute care or a new specialty of practice.
Nurses with greater than one year of experience are eligible. The transition program is based on best practices and evidence-based education.
Your program will include:
- A blend of online learning and instructor led courses
- 1:1 clinical precepting by an experienced RN
- Focused sessions with an Education specialist to enhance learning and clinical reasoning in your new area of practice
You will work a .9 FTE with a high probability of night shift for a minimum of one year. Commitment of one (1) year to unit, shift, and FTE assigned, following precepted portion of program.
Cohort participation for transitional RN varies per specialty
Next PROGRAM START for Medical Unit:
FEBRUARY 2025
(2/17/25 start for external hires & 2/24/25 start for internal hires)
*applications accepted for this cohort through12/13/24. Offers extended through 12/30/24
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing
- Current WA State RN License or Multistate RN license required prior to start.
- Healthcare provider BLS/CPR certifications
- 1+ years RN experience
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Note - RNs hired into units that require a competency in cardiac rhythm interpretation will be required to take a rhythm assessment in their first week. This will include standard cardiac rhythms, dysrhythmias and paced rhythms.
