Supervisor of Social Work, Transitional Care Services - Overlake Medical Center & Clinics

Overlake has an amazing leadership opportunity for a Supervisor of Social Work. In this role, the Supervisor will be accountable to deploy resources to achieve appropriate clinical assessment, disposition planning, and support services. Responsible for the coordination of appropriate resources, clinical supervision and training and education for patient care related to social work services.

Responsibilities include supervising the Social Work team which includes recruiting, hiring, training, mentoring and performance management as well as licensing supervision for associate level social workers. Function as a role model in problem solving, prioritizing workloads and providing high quality patient care within the designated budgeting parameters. Facilitate the structure, process, oversight and accountability of departmental data collection activities and patient documentation to ensure appropriate and legal compliance related to social work services. Proactively work with leaders across the organization to maximize support and treatment of patients with psychosocial, mental health, abuse/neglect, and substance abuse issues. Serve as a resource and liaison in the organization as well as in the local community to build relationships and better serve our patients related to social services and psychiatric issues.

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in social work from an accredited university required.
  • Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Washington required.
  • Minimum of three years related social services experience required.
  • Previous acute care or emergency experience also required.
  • Previous leadership experience preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. Computer skills required. Critical thinking and decision-making skills.
